ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
FreeWheel is hiring a New York City-based, Vice President, Digital Media Sales reporting to the CRO, Advanced TV, Markets division. This is a key member of the Freewheel Markets leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of sales people focused on selling digital video inventory through all channels including programmatic and managed service offerings.
S/he will be responsible for managing senior level agency and client relationships to educate and advocate on FreeWheel's behalf, while leading the team to execute on agency and account specific plans.
The ideal candidate for this position has demonstrable experience managing a demand-side, managed-service and/or programmatic business and has verifiable digital media agency partner contacts at senior levels.
Lead the Digital Media Sales Team nationally to insure all revenue and strategic goals are achieved.
Organize and develop sales talent to achieve maximum potential.
Partner with and support linear TV sales team in their efforts to secure Digital Video revenue from TV Media Buying organizations.
Organize and communicate marketplace needs and demands to help inform product and strategy.
Partner with various internal teams, including Finance, Marketing, Operations, Product Management, to construct strategic plans and ensure effective communication of all sales needs.
Develop and measure KPI's for the sales team.
BA/BS degree, MBA a plus
15 year of traditional and digital advertising experience required, Video experience strongly preferred
Proven experience in managing a team and serving as an executive leader within an organization
Excellent verbal/written communication and client relationship skills
Recognized self-starter capable of flourishing in fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate complicated concepts & capabilities in a simple, clear and concise manner
Experience working with media and technology, and other relevant categories
Organized and detail orientated
Strong willingness to collaborate across internal and external groups
