The goal of this position is to create and manage the shift schedules for on-air operators, dictating when operators will be working throughout the week. Coordinator must ensure all on-air shifts are staffed appropriately and efficiently on a daily basis, working closely with the Broadcast Operations department to schedule Nabet staff and freelance engineers to cover all on-air shifts necessary to maintain operational reliability for on-air distribution. These schedules must be communicated to the operators in a timely manner with the most accurate information available. \u2022 Act as a primary Scheduler of all Nabet Staff and Freelance engineers in BOC, Transmission, and Skypath. \u2022 Will work with Broadcast Ops team to understand all staffing requirements needed for the daily schedule, including live events, specials, preview composites, and impromptu operational needs \u2022 Manage the planning, modification and communication of daily and weekly staffing schedules. \u2022 Help to resolve daily personnel scheduling conflicts in the On Air environment. \u2022 Proactively recommend solutions to complex scheduling situations that arise \u2022 Reconcile all updated shift information in the Storm application and payroll, when necessary. Note: We are receiving a lot of resumes with specific skills in on-air scheduling, folks who enter programmed commercial information into broadcast systems for execution on the air, THESE ARE NOT CORRECT. ***We need someone who handles employee schedules: a person who puts together the weekly Client schedule by identifying how many broadcast operators we need daily and assigning them to particular shifts throughout the day to cover all the operational and on-air responsibilities for NBC.**** Quals-- \u2018Client Scheduling Coordinator\/Staff Scheduling Coordinator\u2019 \u2022 Minimum 3 years scheduling experience in a Broadcast Environment \u2022 Minimum 3 years experience working in a role that requires multi-tasking in a high pressure, deadline driven environment \u2022 Minimum 1 year experience working in a Client Scheduling application, preferably Storm \u2022 Willing and able to work flexible hours as needed, including nights and weekends to meet the 24\/7 operational needs \u2022 Demonstrated attention to detail is a must. \u2022 Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with others in a timely and professional manner is required. An ability to keep the overall broadcast picture in focus, while prioritizing multiple tasks is essential.
