Your role in helping us shape the future:

Our mission is to help patients and caregivers make informed healthcare decisions with trusted tools, insights and resources to be used along the patient journey. Product leaders are expected to continually learn and improve the patient/caregiver experience on our site and optimize opportunities for provider interactions.

Recently, US News launched its “Best Senior Living” rankings with the aim of helping consumers make informed decisions when searching for the right senior living facility. We are looking for a Director of Product Management for Senior Living who will be driven by the mission to serve the needs of the Senior Living community online and expanding our offerings within the segment.

This individual will lead the charge in optimizing and growing the Senior Living audience on US News and developing new products and drive the commercial growth of this segment. A clear understanding of building online decision support tools with a deep interest in content and analytics is required. Traffic and revenue decisions must be informed by data to ensure resources and content remain centered on maintaining and growing the business. The Product Director will work closely with the editorial teams to develop content strategies that serve the segment needs.

  • Assist sales teams with value proposition and data-driven value stories

  • Drive initiatives in support of audience and revenue goals

These are some of the more tactical and operational activities associated with building out and managing the products:

  • Solicit ideas and feedback, define options and translate into a roadmap

  • Develop strong collaboration between editorial and tech to ensure ideas turn into reality

  • Maintain project calendars and priorities, ensuring activities are running on schedule

  • Use analytics to test and measure impact of new site features

  • Work closely with our editorial leadership to optimize the integration and presentation of information to consumers in the most intuitive ways, and build an audience acquisition strategy that can be implemented to grow and diversify traffic

  • Closely monitor traffic trends working directly with our Business Intelligence team. Provide direction and support to the editorial teams

  • Work with our internal SEO team to create and implement content and SEO strategies that maximize the value of our content and brand. Support recommendations with competitive research and keyword analysis. Monitor and report on results

  • Ensure the vertical is optimized to maximize engagement. Closely monitor bounce rates, time on site and other relevant metrics. Develop and implement A/B testing to support these efforts
