Bilingual Native Content Editor','1720533','','CMG Corporate Services','!*!The Native Content Editor is an experienced bilingual content editor/writer that will assign, oversee and execute editorial branded content work for diverse niches within the Hispanic market.
The ideal candidate is more than a traditional editor. We are looking for a digital, cross-media storyteller able to adopt different styles and tones to engage with our Hispanic audience. Able also to write/edit, taking a strong journalism approach while subtly integrating clients’ messaging and reaching audience goals.
A mix of journalism and content marketing/advertising background is ideal for this role. A passion for the bourgeoning native advertising/custom content space is absolutely essential.
Work with our Sales Team of New Products to continue to develop our content strategy to reach the audience and advertising goals.
Write Native content for all advertising campaigns as well as multimedia and video production.
Work with writers and producers to create, and develop native campaigns.
Ensure all content creators, including them, meet the standards of MH guidelines and follow all rules of FB posting and social media distribution.
Edit posts written by our in-house writers as well as freelance contributors, looking for ways to improve content and clean up the copy
Coach editors and writers on craft, helping our team improve their skills
Create clickable headlines that will readers won’t be able to resist on social media
Coordinate multimedia content, including video.
Writing, Editing and coordinating Native content in writing and video/photo for MundoHispanico advertising clients. (80%)
Coming up with interesting and innovative Native content ideas that clients could engage with, knowing the likes and needs of the audience.
Writing and editing stories, scripts and multimedia elements as part of the Native Campaigns.
Coordinate all the elements of the Native campaigns with sales team and with the stories and video producers.
Ensure that all the news into WordPress server comply with the rules of posting (links, focus keyword, snippets, etc.)
The person will have the capability of writing interesting teases, headlines.
Coach freelancer on grammar and MH style so they maintain the standards of MH and our products.
Social media editing (20%)
Review the social media postings of all native content created to ensure we are engaging with the audience and complying with the requests from clients.
Manage the campaigns of clients on diverse social media platforms adapting the need of the clients to each of the social media channel language and audienc.
Writing interesting teases, headlines.
Needs to stay up to date on new tools and trends in social media. ','','','!*!
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications preferred
Branded content/content marketing writing/editing experience
Social Media experience a plus
3 or more years of journalism and experience in the creation of visual contents
Strong knowledge of Spanish, social media knowledge, bilingual
Has a knack for identifying clicky topics and story angles that are highly shareable and engaging within the Hispanic community
Robust network of freelance editors and writers
Experience leading and managing an editorial team
Ability to flexibly write/edit in many different styles, tones and audiences
