MAGNA Innovation: VP/Sr Director, Digital Innovation & Strategy

Position Summary:

This position will play a key role in helping develop the growing responsibilities MAGNA plays in evolving IPG MediaBrands Digital Strategy. This will include some entrepreneurial spirit in building a communication and management framework and will also tap into digital media expertise in aiding in the construction of our go to market approach, while identifying key trends that help us evolve media buying practices.

Essential Functions:

Serve as liaison between agency and SBU teams

Partner in the establishment and growth of internal strategies and process Establish relationships with key constituents across our teams

Aide in digital strategy and go-to-market approach

Help establish digital consolidation approach & process

Create partnership alignment across teams

Lead partner compliance management approaches

Evangelize opportunities across Agency & SBU Teams

Aide in establishing an approach to Agency spend forecasting

Create spend and trends analytical reporting

Organize regular meetings with key stakeholders

Regularly asses and report on success of processes; make optimization recommendations

Assist in the management of key partnerships Evaluate media buying trends

Work with Prisma tool sets

Liaise with MAGNA Investment and Marketplace Innovation teams

Steward key innovation approaches Assist in development of communication materials for internal stakeholders

Manage tracking of partnership progress

Strategize on how to achieve partnership goals and ensure plans are on track

Organize progress meetings

Troubleshoot partnership obstacles as they arise

Act as partnership evangelist

Assist in new business pitches with SBUs and agencies, sharpening MAGNA’s global partnership value proposition and tailoring to pitches as needed


6 years’ experience in digital media within an advertising agency environment (or comparable) required

3 years’ experience in digital operations experience

2 years’ in global work experience required

2 years’ management experience preferred

Well-versed in all forms of media and holistic planning/buying (beyond digital)

Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Excellent time management, decision making, communication and organization skills

Results-oriented, operational mindset and a willingness to be hands-on with a high attention to detail

Willingness to “work up” and “work down” – able to manage projects that require both high level vision and in the weeds execution

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
