Job Overview: The Multimedia Producer is responsible for translating learning objectives to learning assets that engage diverse audiences, enhance personal performance and drive business results. They will lead the technical dialogue and identify innovative multimedia production solutions. Collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders, they will build consensus on a holistic technical strategy leveraging learning and engagement principles to creatively combine visual elements and technical functionality. The associate is also responsible for fulfillment and performing other duties as necessary. This position is based out of Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Key Relationships: COE L&L Leadership Team Strategy Team Instructional Design Team Visual Graphic Designers Implementation Team Talent Solutions Team Essential Functions: Technical Design : Shapes the technical direction of projects by defining a holistic production strategy across platforms and networks to meet business needs. • Brings learning to life by interpreting storyboards and creating engaging, impactful user interfaces. • Leverages learning and engagement principles to creatively combine visual elements and technical functionality. • Understands the required technical standards and specifications to produce learning assets that function across multiple networks, platforms and devices. Collaboration: Partners with Strategy, Design, Implementation and Talent Solutions teams to explore solutions and align on a production strategy. Keeps the project team informed, clearly communicates ideas, gains consensus, and integrates feedback that strengthens the production design. • Builds consensus, listening to feedback, discussing alternatives, and gaining alignment from key stakeholders, while challenging and encouraging teams to think beyond what is today and explore what could be. • Actively listens and gives full attention to what other people are saying, takes time to understand the points being made, and asks questions as appropriate. Understands both verbal and non-verbal cues and incorporates insights into responses for a positive meaningful dialogue. • Strong Communication: Effectively explains ideas and rationale behind creative work, presents ideas, and writes strong proposals. Critical thinking: Translates project needs into production solutions by evaluating the problem, filtering information, and drawing conclusions. • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. • Judgment and Decision Making: Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. • Research and planning: Utilizes research and inquiry to understand project goals in order to propose production solutions. Includes talent related processes (e.g. performance management, development, succession, workforce planning, etc.). Qualifications: Education/Experience: • This position requires a bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, or related field, or an equivalent combination of technical certifications/experience. • 5 years of eLearning/multi-media development Communication Skills: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to read, and interpret design documents such as wireframes. • Also need exceptional visual messaging skills to develop visual storylines. Mathematical Skills: • Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Reasoning Ability: • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Demands: • This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment. • May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. • Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Other Skills: • Technically savvy: Expertise with the following content and web authoring tools: Articulate Storyline (required), Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio, Lectora, Axure (HTML5). Maintains high proficiency in the authoring tools required for production and stays abreast of changes in the industry. • Fundamental Interface Knowledge: Adult learning experience design-knowledge and experience in creating user interfaces that facilitates the best adult learning experience. • Active Listening & Questioning skills: Ability to bring a vision to life technically by asking clarifying questions to understand the learning strategy, the role the learning asset plays in the strategy, and to clearly synthesize feedback and technical need Work Hours: • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
