“Washington Week,” the longest running public affairs program on public television is looking for a creative Segment Producer to serve as an integral member of the production team producing video packages, show opens, podcasts and other content for use on-air and on-line.
The Producer needs to be passionate about news with strong interest and broad knowledge of national and international news, politics, foreign and domestic policy and history. Responsibilities include developing graphics, supervising editors, archiving, pitching ideas and working with the series and senior producers to research and produce weekly “Washington Week” podcasts. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Political Science, History or related field. Minimum of five (5) years’ of experience working in journalism, news and/or documentary programming, preferably for a national organization or equivalent combination of education and experience.
