Job Summary

Responsible for the daily activities in local programming initiatives for local area networks. Collaborates with local origination teams in all steps of the content acquisition and programming process to ensure that all systems have appropriate programming. Ensures scheduled programs and systems proceed without interruption or problems. Facilitate the flow of information to markets so that they have access to programming information pertinent to their business. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Core Responsibilities

Examines the needs and concerns of local programming team initiatives to determine opportunities or problem areas. Provides feedback to develop new procedures and methods.

Leads all programming meetings and activities of the production team.

Generates reports on local programming status and schedules.

Partners with supervisor to determine local program development and priorities.

Develops and implements a comprehensive master local program schedule.

Represents the Company on programming matters as liaison to Public Broadcasting Service and other agencies.

Participates in all program/production planning strategies.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
