What you ll do
The Head of Media Strategy & Marketing/Business Intelligence role is responsible for harnessing the business acumen and power of Deloitte to create and lead the development of an insights and data-driven marketing intelligence platform for Deloitte s clients to discover high-value audience segments and make real-time marketing, creative and paid media decisions.
The ideal candidate is experienced in the digital strategy, advertising, programmatic and paid media space and will be responsible for the overall architecture, development and marketing of this unique platform.
This individual will work closely with software developers and data scientists to develop and maintain the platform and partner with Deloitte consultants to market this suite of service to clients. This candidate will need to have hands-on, working knowledge of 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data providers to integrate into the platform and be well versed in audience segmentation, paid media, evolving ad technology and marketing trends.
Work you ll do:
Create and lead the development of marketing intelligence platform from the ground up
Work closely with software developers and data scientists to create platform and derive actionable insights
Partner with data science team on specific projects to design data visualizations that tell stories with data
Identify and translate marketing challenges into functional requirements that can be developed and woven into platform
Build strong working relationships and partner with Deloitte consultants to market platform to C-suite clients
Lead a team to implement platform within client s marketing organization or with client s media agencies
Be the solutions architect advisor for the client ad stack; identify and help configure the technology, data and processes that improve audience insights, media targeting, and deepen analytical learning
Identify evolving ad trends, technology and revenue generating opportunities
Establish and maintain vendor relationships
15 years of hands-on experience in paid and/or programmatic media at a full-service ad agency or senior marketing role at client s
10 years in leadership/ management role; built, managed and mentored a team and worked in multiple, large, cross-functional teams across global offices
Deep expertise in real-time media strategies and tactics, advance high-value audience segmentation knowledge, personalization of creative strategies and evolving ad technology
Excellent quantitative skills
Proven track record with client relations and growing existing business; innovative self-starter who s able to identify opportunities and make it happen
Excellent understanding and strong POV of the overall paid and owned digital media landscape
Proven negotiation skills with outside vendors
Hands on working experience and understanding of at least several of the following tools:
DMPs: Adobe Audience Manager, Oracle Blue Kai, Trade Desk etc.
DSPs: Adobe Media Optimizer, DoubleClick, Media Math, Dstillery etc.
Ad Tech/ Data Partners: SambaTV, Rentrack, Placed etc
Syndicated Measurement: comScore, Nielsen
Ad Effectiveness Research: comScore, Millward Brown Digital, GFK
Multi-touch Attribution: VisualIQ, Abakus
Ad Servers: DoubleClick, Sizmek, Atlas, Innovid
Ad Verification: IAS, MOAT, DoubleVerify
Minimum Degree in Business, Marketing, or Advertising
Ability to travel 70%
Passion for ad tech and data, and be able to intelligently communicate how this impacts advertising, creative and paid media
Strong marketplace relationships with data and insights providers
High level of comfort and expertise presenting to and working with C-suite clients
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
