Traffic Assistant Jobs

A traffic assistant is necessary for the dispatch and receipt of merchandise, verifying and keeping records and logs of incoming and outgoing shipments. A traffic assistant prepares items for shipment. A traffic assistant assembles parts, creates shipping labels, and completes shipping documents as necessary. A traffic assistant performs inventory pulls for stock items or assembles rental part orders as detailed on sales orders.
A traffic assistant helps delivery drivers with the loading and unloading of merchandise. A traffic assistant and packs orders and monitors shipping supplies to ensure timely reorder. A traffic assistant performs related duties as assigned including physical inventory counts and stocking parts on shelves. A traffic assistant uses established safety practices in physical labor and mechanical lifting of merchandise to protect the health and safety of personnel and property. A traffic assistant inspects each inbound piece or lot of raw product for quality control and adherence to customer specifications.

A traffic assistant should have a high school or college education and must have a steady work history including shipping and receiving experience. A strong candidate must be able to change work environments as schedules dictate. A traffic assistant should have impeccable attention to detail and be computer literate.
