Media Intern Jobs

A media intern is responsible for contributing to the given company’s public and media relations unit. A media intern serves as a full-time staff member working with the public and media relations staff to answer and respond to media inquiries and provide writing support for the public and media relations staff. A media intern contributes to proactive media strategies and assists with the compilation and coding of daily clip files. A media intern researches media inquiries and responds to those inquiries. A media intern provides writing support for public and media relations and additional groups within branding and communications, including promotions and events. A media intern serves in a support role in answering media calls and also serves a back-up role in coding daily clip files. A media intern provides assistance to public and media relations staff for specific events.
A media intern should have a relevant bachelor’s degree and one year of experience. A strong candidate should have the ability to work independently, quickly, under pressure, and with multiple responsibilities. A media intern should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and good computer skills. A media intern must be a creative thinker and a self-starter.
