Media Assistant Jobs

A media assistant provides instructional, supervisory, and clerical assistance to the media center through completion of routine tasks to be assigned by the media specialist. A media assistant assist students in the use of the media center; monitors students assigned to complete assignments which require independent practice of the skill being developed or the concept being learned and also assist media specialist and classroom teachers in checking students' comprehension of concepts and/or skills learned. A media assistant supervises students under the direction of the media specialist and the principal. A media assistant performs other related duties assigned by the media specialist. A media assistant customizes workflows for clients and providing technical assistance to customers and staff and coordinates all jobs with sales, press, and post-press and makes sure jobs are print-ready and efficiently laid out.

A media assistant should have a graduate degree or diploma in mass communication. A media assistant should have at least one year of experience of related or same field and experience of print, visual or audio materials. A media assistant should be able to train, supervise and assist in all areas of both electronic and conventional pre-press operations.
