District Manager Jobs
A district manager is responsible for overseeing several multi-million dollar stores and candidate has responsibilities like managing sales and operations, controlling expenses and payroll budgets, handling personnel issues, accounting, merchandising, and loss prevention. A district manager is also ultimately responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the stores. A district manager is a role model and leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the workforce and time wisely in order to achieve maximum results. A district manager assists in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified managers to meet the district's needs. A district manager conducts orientation, train and coach the management staff in execution of daily tasks and to maximize sales. A district manager participates in administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives. A district manager coordinates sales promotion activities and pricing of merchandise. A district manager oversees preparation of merchandise placement and displays and helps solve problems that affect the stores service, efficiency, and productivity.
A district manager should have a four year college degree and 5+ years of experience. A district manager should have ability to develop and train the work force, build relationships, manage store operations, provide outstanding customer service, and operate all equipment necessary to perform the job. A district manager should have strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
