Production Assistant Jobs
A production assistant’s primary mission is to schedule, follow up on, track, and actively assist team members with the successful completion of their agreed upon goals. A production assistant is essentially a producer in training and learns proper production methodology while implementing new skills in a hands-on environment under the direction of producers on the team. A production assistant assists with bug database management, outsourcing, and localization, as well as a host of other tasks. A production assistant also assists the leads and other departments in determining high and low priority items, focusing on areas yielding the greatest returns. A production assistant participates in ongoing milestone evaluations, working with the project manager or producer to maintain the project schedule. A production assistant provides managerial support for the team leads.
A production assistant should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area such as business administration or project management. A strong candidate should have more than three years of development experience. A strong candidate must also possess the ability to handle multiple tasks from the team in an organized fashion, prioritizing these tasks effectively. A production assistant must have excellent organizational, problem solving, project management, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills. A production assistant must also be self-directed and detail-oriented.
