Media Planner Jobs

A media planner has responsibility of developing and maintaining media plans for clients by generating appropriate documentation to support a media recommendation. A media planner utilizes available computer programs and syndicated research report. Candidate prepares purchase authorizations and post-buy analyses, which requires interaction with client and account groups. A media planner helps clients to sell products and build brands through effective marketing counsel, strategic planning, media negotiation and placement. A media planners discusses advertising strategy with their clients, analyze and research the target audience's character, advise the creative team and clients about the most effective media combination and present media proposals. A media planner is involved in obtaining the best advertising rates, adjusting media schedules in response to the latest audience figures, managing budgets and monitoring and updating clients on the effectiveness of campaigns.

A media planner should have a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a relevant field. Experience of 2+ years in planning is an advantage. A media planner should have excellent research skills and good team and interpersonal skills. Candidate should the ability to recognize good opportunities.
