Coordinator Jobs
A coordinator is responsible for coordinating shipments through the company's gateway location. A coordinator implements effective solutions to ensure standards are met. A coordinator provides superior customer service to clientele and schedules pick ups as per customer requests. A coordinator has responsibility to collect required fees, develop a dispatch schedule that is utilizing truck availability, and ensure customer expectations are met while minimizing costs. A coordinator dispatches drivers for prompt pickup and delivery, supports office operations by assisting office coordinator/ supervisor/ manager with other tasks such as data entry as it relates to product movement, accounts payable/receivable, etc. A coordinator is responsible for evaluation of client-directed pack out operations, procedures and materials, including meeting client needs for protocol development and adherence. A coordinator maintains good relationships with customers and coworkers.
A coordinator should have bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience working in freight forwarding. A coordinator should be self motivated with the ability to work independently. A coordinator should be highly organized and enjoy taking initiative. A coordinator should have customer service orientation. A coordinator must enjoy working in a warehouse environment and should have intermediate computer skills.
