A proofreader assists document specialists in the proofing process and helps in meeting deadlines.
A proofreader should have a bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or mass communication. A strong candidate should also have one or two years of experience in proofreading. A proofreader should have excellent written and spoken English skills and good communication skills in general. A strong candidate should have good knowledge of grammar and standard proofreading marks.
