Associate Producer Jobs
An associate producer works directly with talent and contributes to brainstorming ideas, creates run-downs for live shows, book guests, communicate with producer(s) and executive producer(s) and manages day to day budgets and petty cash. An associate producer works closely with show host to brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for upcoming live shows. An associate producer researches and coordinates the booking of guests. An associate producer assists in the procurement of specialty props and wardrobe items. Candidate coordinates with web producer and/or graphics team to ensure assets are prepped for air. An associate producer communicates upcoming show ideas to producers, executive producers and standards and practices department. An associate producer coordinates with technical director, master control, and technical staff on timings, count-backs, and cues.
An associate producer should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Experience of 2+ years behind the scenes in television production as an associate producer or in a related capacity may be required. An associate producer should have excellent writing and thinking skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, working knowledge of television production including control room operations, strong communication skills, an ability to react quickly when unexpected situations arise, and sensibility for a preschool audience.
