Videographer Jobs

A videographer shoots and edits videos that help promote existing and new programs both internally and externally. A videographer shoots still photography both on and off the property. A videographer also assists the media relations manager with proactive and reactive media requests. A videographer is responsible for teaching hands-on video production techniques and for leading efforts to evolve broadcast or videography curriculum as new platforms proliferate. A videographer captures exactly what the given customer wants as there are no chances to reshoot in order to correct any problems or omissions.

A videographer should have a bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, television production, or communications. A strong candidate will have four to six years of experience in a relevant field. A good candidate should also have experience working on deadline as a videographer inside a television newsroom. A videographer must be highly self-motivated and driven. A strong candidate will have a positive attitude, the ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure, and be passionate about the work.
