Media Editor Jobs

A media editor works as part of a larger team involved with summarizing articles received from clients. A media editor’s job requires writing summaries of newspaper and magazine articles, being able to read and analyze press coverage for relevant content, and being able to tag and segregate summaries as project briefs. A media editor is responsible for delivering the final product with the required specifications. A media editor creates the narrative, structure, and tone of the given program and works against tight timelines. A media editor provides the unique capability to create innovative solutions, helping his or her clients become successful businesses. A media editor understands retail business practices and their technological underpinnings by having worked with a wide range of food, non-food, specialty merchandise, catalogue, convenience store, and consumer goods companies.

A media editor should be proficient at using grammatically correct English and should possess fundamental computer knowledge (Microsoft Office). A strong candidate should also have good editing, communication, and time management skills.
