Video Producer Jobs
A video producer helps the rest of the team shape their video projects at the concept stage. A video producer provides hands-on production of onsite videos ranging from simple interviews to technical projects. A video producer contracts and manages external video agencies for production of high-profile projects. A video producer manages the editing and mastering of final pieces in the in-house system. A video producer also manages video formats and encoding standards for different distribution targets. A video producer provides technical management of the in-house editing suite (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Tools, etc.). A video producer manages scriptwriting, technical matters, and production plans for ongoing productions. A video producer maintains effective video production processes and teamwork strategies. A video producer works closely with a content manager to distribute assets to key groups and regions.
A video producer should have a high school education or the equivalent and extensive experience managing video projects including conception, production, and execution. A strong candidate should have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. A video producer must be a great multitasker, self-motivated, and a good problem solver. A strong candidate should possess a working knowledge of video formats, playback codec’s, editing systems, and editing practices. A video producer should likewise have excellent working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
