Designer Jobs

A designer produces visual solutions to the communication needs of clients, using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness. A designer needs imaginative flair, awareness of current fashions in the visual arts, working knowledge of the latest computer packages and an understanding of material costs and time limits, all of which can impact on the design. A designer produces design solutions to communicate clients' messages a with high visual impact. A designer meets clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job, interpreters the client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose, estimates the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients and develops design briefs by gathering information and data through research. A designer thinks creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. A designer uses innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.

A designer should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an applied arts field and preferably have 2+ years of experience in designing or print media. A designer should have knowledge of adobe photoshop, illustrator, and indesign/ quarkexpress/ coreldraw.
